In addition to being a taijiquan practitioner, Zheng was a poet, painter, calligrapher, and traditional Chinese medicine doctor; a master of the Five Excellences; he was also a scholar and philosopher, and taught students about Kong Fuzi (Confucius) and Laozi (Lao Tzu)
