Augeuste Rodin was born in Paris in 1840. He learned sculpting from creature sculptor Louis Barye in 1864. He visited Italy in 1875 and admired the great Michelangelo, whom influenced him a lot in his later creation. His representative work The Gates of Hell includes 186 figures and although it takes him 37 years, he still didn’t finish it until he died.
