Condition:
The stopper does not quite sit flush with the top of the bottle - it may have been one of a pair and the stoppers were switched. It would be quite easy to polish the shank a little to facilitate this. The end of the stopper is marked 23 and the base of the bottle 2. The bronze elements are rubbed and there are traces of gilt in the crevices. Wear to base. The gilt Saglier mark is a little rubbed.
