Condition:
This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of light wear and handling along the edges, including scuffs and hairline craquelure at the turning edges. The work appears to have been varnished creating an irregular surface sheen that appears cloudy in areas. Under close inspection, there is evidence of extremely faint hairline craquelure in the yellow passages. There are spots of discoloration and pinpoint foxing on the reverse, which do not appear to correlate to the face. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, the aforementioned varnish fluoresces and an approximately 2 inch area along the upper edge fluoresces darkly. Framed. Framed dimensions: 109 by 90 ½ in. (276.9 by 229.9 cm.)
