Lina Kanafani, Mint, London; Private collection, acquired from above. Antoni Gaudi redesigned the Battlo family's Barcelona apartment block residence between the years of 1904 to 1906, adding his signature organic and sinuous detailing to all aspects of the facade and interior. The residence is considered to be a true reflection of Gaudi's style and was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005. This double seated bench was designed for the living room of the Casa Battlo as a modified tete-a-tete, using the wide armrest as a barrier between the two sitters.
