Condition:

Framed: 83 by 95.7cm., 32? by 37?in. The canvas is unlined. Inspection under UV light reveals lines and spots of retouching to all four edges with further instances corresponding to the craquelure and paint shrinkage in the composition. There are some lines of craquelure in places with associated instances of lifting, flecks of paint loss and retouching. There is paint shrinkage to the work in places. The canvas is very slightly undulating. There is frame abrasion to the extreme edges. The work is in overall fairly good condition and would benefit from some localised consolidation.
