Please note the color and shades in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings. Grading this albumen print on a scale of 1 to 10 a 10 being an albumen print that has deep brown dark tones and highlights that retain all of their original detail this print rates a 7. The darks retain their saturation and detail, for instance in the tablecloth under the bust of the Emperor, but the highlights appear somewhat blown out. This print is in generally very good condition. There is foxing throughout the photograph and on both of the mounts. When examined closely, deposits of original retouching can be seen in several areas, most noticeably an area along the lower edge. On the reverse is scattered foxing overall. '15683' is written in an unidentified hand in pencil.
