Further, with his extensive quotation from Vasari's Life of Andrea del Sarto and his inscription 'This was one of the last of the works of Andrea, for the seige [sic] of Florence was rais'd in 1530 in w.ch year he.. The Original Picture at the Louvre, a Coppy of it at Fontainbleau [sic]. My Son did not see these in France as mention'd above, & where I was inform'd they were:.. he saw at Parma in the Palace of the Duke a very fine one; only the Back-Ground is alt[ered] there 'tis a Landscape, & in the sky two Angels are holding a Curtain.
