Condition:
The canvas and stretcher of both parts are in good condition. The nails on the left panel are securely attached. There are occasional minor points of staining to the paint to some of the nail heads in places due to oxidisation, only visible on close inspection. There is minor rubbing and occasional black marks to the turnover edges in places, only visible on close inspection. There is occasional discolouration and hairline cracking to the paint in places, deemed inherent to the artist's use of materials and studio technique. When examined under Ultra Violet light the paint surface is consistent and there is no indication of restoration. Otherwise, there are no apparent condition issues with this work.
