The work is in good condition, consistent with age. Fine lines of craquelure scattered across the work. The inspection under UV light reveals mostly smaller areas of retouching which can be found throughout the entire image. On the back of the canvas there is a 5.5 x 7.5 cm measuring textile patch. The wide wooden and partially gilded frame is generally in a good condition apart from some small cracks and some areas with little flaking, which have partially been restored; relined
